Man arrested for defiling his 14 niece

Police in Uriri are detaining a man aged 29 years accused on defiling his niece aged 14 years at Rapogi market, in Central Kanyamkago,Uriri sub county.

Uriri sub county police commander Mr.Peter Njoroge said the suspect identified as Samson Oloo was arrested yesterday night by police officer on allegation that he defiled the niece a day ago.

Mr.Njoroge said the mother to the minor yesterday realized that the daughter had difficulty in movement and upon interrogation; the minor admitted that she was defiled by the suspect in her absence. The sub county police commander said the medical report from the hospital revealed that the girl was defiled. He said the suspect is in their police cell in Uriri waiting to be charged with defilement in court tomorrow (Monday).

The arrest of the suspected pedophile comes a day after another suspected pedophile aged 50 years identified Joseph Otieno Okoth accused of defiling a mentally challenged girl aged 12 years at Kamsaki village in South Kanyamkago,Uriri Sub County was arrested. He will also be arraigned in court tomorrow.

Meanwhile Uriri sub county police commander Mr.Njoroge has raised concern over ballooning cases of defilement in the sub count
