A significant portion of the budget, amounting to Sh1.12 billion, will be allocated for refurbishment purposes. This includes Sh460 million for the renovation of Gachagua’s office (Harambee Annex office) and Sh660 million for the Karen residence. According to Patrick Mwangi, an official from the office, the need for refurbishment is due to the aging infrastructure and lack of maintenance, which has necessitated a facelift to improve functionality and security systems.

In addition to refurbishment costs, the budget includes allocations for various other expenses. This includes Sh200 million for the acquisition of motor vehicles, Sh250 million for an alcohol drugs and substance abuse program, Sh250 million for the purchase of medals, honours, and insignia, and Sh800 million for confidential expenditure.
However, some members of the committee raised concerns about certain expenditures, such as the Sh250 million allocated for the purchase of medals, honours, and insignia. Narok West MP Gabriel Tongoyo questioned the need for such extravagant spending, especially considering the current economic situation in the country.
